I recommend Xpression Kanekalon stretch hair and depending on desired thickness, thinness & length. most feed- in braids such as lemonade, fulani, tribal or updo ponytail long braids will require up to 2 -3 packs. 

Straight back cornrows or combo box braids in the back requires 3 packs.

I recommend Xpression hair because of quality and you will not have to purchase 10 packs of the other brand hair. The required packs for style is less than 5 packs.
